Hi! I am Sarah Licwinko, the founder and lead designer of Leisurely Design House.

For over 15 years, I have been immersed in the design industry, working closely with clients who often feel that they need to expand their homes in order to have more space. Over time I noticed a recurring pattern - it wasn't the lack of space that was the issue, but rather the way their space was being utilized. This realization has sparked a passion in me to redefine the concept of home design.

I believe that every home, regardless of its size, has the potential to be a haven of comfort and beauty. I am passionate about redefining the space that you have, whether it be large or small, and transforming it into something that you love.

My mission is to help clients see the potential in their existing spaces and guide them in creating homes that are not just aesthetically pleasing, but also functional and comfortable. I want to create spaces that my clients can not wait to come back to at the end of the day - homes that are truly your own personal sanctuary. My brand is about maximizing space, enhancing functionality, and creating beautiful, comfortable homes that my clients are proud of and love to live in.

MY "WHY"

HOMES ARE MADE TO BE LIVED IN.

As a mom of two lively little boys, I understand the constant tug-of-war between wanting a beautiful home and fearing the inevitable mess that comes with daily life. I've experienced the apprehension of seeing muddy footprints on a light colored rug, or crayon marks on a newly painted wall. But I've also come to realize that these are the signs of a home that's truly lived in, a home that's filled with laughter, love, and life. This personal experience has greatly influenced my approach to design.

I design with purpose, keeping in mind that homes are meant to be lived in, not just looked at. I want my clients to embrace the messiness of life, to enjoy the days where your kids are building forts under the dining table, your pets are snuggling with you on the couch, the family gatherings where everyone feels relaxed and at home. These are the moments that mean the most, and your home needs to be primed to withstand it all.

When I select materials for a project, I always consider the lifestyle of my clients. I choose fabrics that are as durable as they are beautiful, surfaces that can withstand the test of time, and colors that can hide the occasional spill or stain. My life as a mom has taught me that a home should be a place of comfort and joy, a place where you are not afraid to live. And that is exactly what I aim to create for my clients - homes that are beautiful, functional, and most importantly, lived in.
